Dr. Subhadip De is a postdoctoral associate at the University of Minnesota, working under the mentorship of Prof. Alexander J. Grenning. With a research career spanning over a decade across leading institutions in the United States, China, and India, Dr. De specializes in synthetic organic chemistry, particularly in the total synthesis of complex natural products and transition metal-free C–C bond-forming reactions.
He earned his Ph.D. from IISER Bhopal under Prof. Alakesh Bisai, focusing on the synthesis of benzo[c]phenanthridine and pyrroloindoline alkaloids. His postdoctoral appointments include the Shanghai Institute of Organic Chemistry (CAS), Colorado State University (Cetya Therapeutics), and the University of Florida. Prior to his current role, he served as a Senior Research Investigator at Syngene International Ltd., contributing to drug discovery projects and earning multiple awards for excellence in project delivery and innovation.
Dr. De has authored 20 peer-reviewed publications and holds an international patent on the synthesis of largazole analogs.
