Dr. Rifat Rehmani is an international medical graduate based in Toronto, Canada. He is an epidemiologist, holding a Master’s in Community Health and Epidemiology from Dalhousie University (2004), and a trained emergency physician. He currently practices at Pain Care Clinics in Mississauga, Canada. Previously, he chaired the Department of Emergency Medicine for several years in the Middle East and holds an academic appointment as Assistant Professor at Aga Khan University. His professional interests span emergency medicine, epidemiology, pain management, trauma and injury prevention, disaster medicine, and resuscitation. Dr. Rifat Rehmani has extensive experience in both hospital- and population-based research, having secured numerous research grants and published over 55 peer-reviewed articles. He has presented his work at multiple national and international conferences and symposia.
In addition to his clinical and research roles, Dr. Rifat Rehmani serves as an Academic Editor for PLOS ONE and as a Review Editor on the Editorial Board of Intensive Care Medicine and Anesthesiology for Frontiers. He is also an active peer reviewer for numerous international journals. With over 18 years of experience in statistical consulting, data analysis, research design, and dissertation/thesis supervision, he has assisted hundreds of researchers and students in successfully completing quantitative and qualitative projects, dissertations, and theses.
