Robson Ribeiro de Oliveira Castro is a Brazilian theologian, philosopher, historian, and educator based in Juiz de Fora, Minas Gerais. He holds degrees in History, Philosophy, and Theology, and earned a Master’s degree in Moral Theology from the Faculdade Jesuíta de Filosofia e Teologia (FAJE) in 2017. His academic background also includes postgraduate studies in Canonical Matrimonial Law (2012), Catholic Social Teaching (2021), and Educational Projects and Innovation (2024). He serves as editor of Revista Rhema, a journal affiliated with the Instituto Teológico Arquidiocesano Santo Antônio (ITASA) and UniAcademia in Juiz de Fora.

Dr. Christina Romero is an Associate Professor of Education in the Indiana University Kokomo School of Education. She teaches literacy, English, English Language Learner methods courses and a Teaching with Technology course for those who want to become elementary secondary teachers. She earned her Ph.D. in Literacy, Culture, and Language Education with a minor in Anthropology from Indiana University in 2018. Christina's research focus is narrative inquiry, specializing in women's stories of Silencing and individuals' Digital storytellings of their experiences of Crucial events. Christina's ongoing work also includes a multi-site research study in Scotland, New Mexico, and Indiana.

Joshua Redford Kesling is an independent researcher and applied ecologist specializing in riparian and aquatic ecosystems. Drawing on a blend of ecological and social theories, he proposes conservation strategies to conserve both public and private natural resources. He consistently partners with conservation agencies, and these collaborations take him to United States National Forests, Wildlife Refuges, Wild and Scenic Rivers, and Marine Sanctuaries. His geographical coverage encompasses North American coastal (e.g., Oregon estuaries) and freshwater (e.g., Indiana swamps) ecosystems that face moderate to heavy anthropogenic modification. Of the applied cases he investigates, many involve how nature-based outdoor recreation systems influence ecological integrity. The study areas often occur across small (e.g., vernal/autumnal pools) to medium (i.e., interdunal wetlands) scales. Joshua also collects social data to understand how visitors perceive ecological changes and why they engage in certain behaviors. He earned a master’s degree in Environmental Management with a concentration in ecosystem management and conservation from Yale University. During his time in the American Northeast, Joshua deployed recreational and ecological projects along a National Wild and Scenic River to understand how disturbances affect various river socio-ecological systems. He also examined how outdoor recreationists interacted with severely fragmented Atlantic White Cedar swamps and sandy beach systems. Some of Joshua’s ongoing projects include (a) examining how nature-based outdoor recreation systems impact the integrity of freshwater ecological communities, (b) measuring whether aquatic biological invasions alter positive nature-based recreational experiences, and (c) encouraging ecologically sound watershed conservation strategies throughout agricultural landscapes.
