Biography:
Dr. Reham Hassan Eid Abdelmonem is a highly accomplished Consultant in Medical Microbiology with extensive experience in infection diagnosis, antimicrobial stewardship, and clinical microbiology. She holds a Ph.D. in Medical Microbiology and Public Health from the High Institute of Public Health, Alexandria University, and is a Diplomate of both the Royal College of Pathologists (DipRCPath) and the American Board of Medical Microbiology (ABMM). Dr. Abdelmonem has trained at the prestigious Bone Infection Unit at the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre, Oxford University Hospitals, where she actively participated in ward rounds, intra-operative sample collection, microbiological diagnostics, and antimicrobial treatment planning. Her clinical and research focus lies in bone and joint infections, antimicrobial resistance, and sepsis management. She is a member of several leading international societies, including the European Bone and Joint Infection Society (EBJIS), the American Society for Microbiology (ASM), the British Infection Association (BIA), and the European Society of Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases (ESCMID).
